Betty Low, a Canadian- born dancer and actress who began her career with the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo and performed and taught in the US for 70 years, died on March 12, 2016 at her home in Annapolis, MD.

SOFT POWER IN EASTERN EUROPE
The Role of Cultural Diplomacy

A conversation with the former US Ambassador to Russia (2008-2012) and Bulgaria (2005-2008), John Beyrle, moderated by the Executive Director of the BRCP, Anna Winestein. Ambassador Beyrle has been a proponent of American cultural diplomacy, and a great specialist on not only Eastern-European politics, but the region's culture. This event will explore what works and what doesn't in the region and why cultural diplomacy matters.
