The Ballets Russes Ball

Dance into Memorial Day weekend at a masked ball in celebration of the centenary of the Ballets Russes.
The Ballets Russes Ball kicks off the summer season on Friday, May 22nd, 2009 at The Somerset
Club, 42 Beacon Street, Boston, Mass. Inspired by St. Petersburg and Paris of the first few decades of the twentieth
century, the elegant, festive event will begin with cocktails at 6:30 pm, followed by dinner at 7:30 pm and dancing at 9:00 pm.
The ball will feature exclusive performances by Ballets Russes festival participants such as Rebecca Rice Dance. Dancing to the sounds of the
White Heat Swing Septet will
continue until midnight. Costumes are encouraged but not essential, dress code is Festive Black Tie; masks will be available for purchase at the door.
The festival is a week-long celebration of Russian influence on the fine and performing arts of Europe and the US. Dancing tickets cost $125 per
person and dining tickets cost $325. VIP tickets, which include a private champagne and caviar cocktail with the Ball's Guest of Honor, and exclusive
opportunities to attend other festival events, cost $600. Seating is limited so get your tickets early. RSVP by May 8th. Buy tickets online or by post.
